The MSX+ employs an eleven-driver, triple-hybrid architecture, combining a single dynamic driver, six balanced armature drivers, and four electrostatic drivers. Through an exceptionally complex and precise division of labor, it forms a sound system that makes no compromises between resolution, dynamics, and soundstage performance.
The “X” represents the Roman numeral for ten, while “X+” symbolizes the final integration of ten plus one. This is not merely a numerical reference, but a statement of the MS series’ most complete realization in terms of sound architecture. The multi-driver design allows each frequency range to perform its dedicated role, ensuring that detail, density, and energy coexist in harmony—laying the foundation for a highly refined and fully realized sonic presentation.

The MSX+ is equipped with a tuning switch that offers two clearly defined and practical sound modes, allowing users to freely adapt the sound character to their task or listening purpose—without changing equipment or compromising established workflows.
One mode is centered on resolution and accuracy, featuring a restrained, evenly balanced structure with clear detail and abundant information. It is well suited for recording, mixing, and critical monitoring where precise judgment is essential. The other mode emphasizes dynamics and energy, with a warmer tonal balance and enhanced low-frequency presence. This delivers greater impact and emotional engagement while maintaining clarity, making it ideal for live performance and immersive music enjoyment.

Sound Performance | A Complete Integration of Analysis, Space, and Imaging
The MSX+ delivers a wide and open soundstage with clearly defined spatial layering, accurately presenting front–back and left–right placement to create a three-dimensional sense of depth. Its high-resolution performance provides a rich yet coherent flow of information, allowing every detail to be distinctly perceived while maintaining a natural sense of movement rather than sounding clinical or rigid.
In balancing vocals and instruments, the triple-hybrid driver system allows each driver type to perform at its strength. The electrostatic drivers handle high-frequency extension, delivering an expansive and delicate sense of air; the balanced armature drivers provide precise midrange resolution, clearly defining the placement of vocals and primary instruments; and the dynamic driver supplies low frequencies with weight and depth, ensuring stability and power across the spectrum. This combination ensures seamless transitions and a complete sonic structure, satisfying both analytical listening and musical enjoyment.
